Classic Quiche Lorraine

  • 1 9-inch unbaked pie shell
    2 cups (8oz.) shredded Swiss Valley Farms Swiss cheese
    6 slices bacon
  • cooked
  • drained
  • crumbled
    1/2 cup chopped green onion with tops
    2 cups Swiss Valley Farms light cream OR half and half
    1 tbsp. cornstarch
    4 eggs
  • slightly beaten
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    Dash cayenne pepper
    2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese

Toss together cheese, bacon and green onion; place in pie crust. Stir a small amount of cream into the cornstarch until smooth. Add remaining cream, eggs, salt, nutmeg and cayenne. Pour over cheese mixture, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake in preheated oven about 40 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
