Cranberry Nut Bread

  • 1 egg
    3/4 cup sugar
    1 cup Swiss Valley Farms dairy sour cream
    2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    3 tbsp. grated orange peel
    1/2 cup chopped walnuts
    1 cup cranberries
  • coarsely chopped

    Preheat oven to 350 ?F. Beat egg in a large mixing bowl; add sugar and mix well. Carefully stir in sour cream. Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture, stirring just until moistened. Add orange peel, nuts and cranberries. Turn into one buttered 9x5 inch or two 81/2 x 41/2 inch loaf pans. Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely on wire rack.
