Combine all ingredients except cheese and apple slice in large mixer bowl. Blend at low speed just until ingredients are combined. (Do not over mix). Stir in cheese. Allow batter to stand while preheating griddle. (Heat until a few drops of water dance. Or, set automatic temperature control to 375 ?F). Use scant one-fourth cup batter to each pancake. Pour onto lightly buttered griddle. Cook until bubbles break on surface and edges are cooked; turn and cook other side until golden. Serve warm with saut?ed apple slices. Makes 22 (3 3/4 inch diameter) pancakes.
