  • 1/2 cup Swiss Valley Farms butter
  • softened
    1 cup flour
    2 tbsp. water
    • ? cup Swiss Valley Farms butter 1 cup water 1 tsp. almond extract 1 cup flour 3 eggs

      For crust, cut butter into flour; sprinkle with water and mix. Round into ball; divided in half on un-greased baking sheet. Put each half into 12 x 3-inch strips, 3 inches apart.
      Heat butter and water to rolling boil; remove from heat and quickly stir in almond extract and flour. Stir vigorously over low heat until mixture forms a ball, about 1 minute. Remove mixture from heat; add eggs all at once. Beat until smooth and glossy. Divide in half and spread half on each strip. Bake at 350? for 45 to 50 minutes or until topping, is crisp and brown. Cool. Topping will shrink and fall, forming the custard top. Frost; with confectioners sugar icing and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
