Apple Bread Pudding

  • 2 cups Swiss Valley Farms milk
  • 3 eggs
  • slightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 6 slices day-old bread cut into1-inch pieces
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) Swiss Valley Farms butter melted
  • 2 cups peeled sliced apples

Scald milk; cool 3 to 5 minutes. Combine milk, eggs, syrup, vanilla, cinnamon and salt. Toss bread with butter; place in buttered 1-quart shallow baking dish. Pour milk mixture over bread. Arrange apples on top. Place baking dish in larger shallow pan on oven rack. Pour hot water into pan to 1-inch depth. Bake in a preheated 350?F oven for 55 to 60 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Serve with strawberry preserves.
