The Swiss Valley Farms Board of Directors announces that as of April 7, 2008, Donald Boelens assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer for Swiss Valley Farms. Prior to this, he and J. Gordon Toyne had shared the positions of Co-CEO's. In April, Toyne announced his retirement intentions. Toyne is now working part-time through the summer.
Donald Boelens joined the co-op's Management Team in 2001 as Chief Financial Officer. He and Toyne were named Co-CEO's in 2003. Prior to this, he was senior internal auditor at Hon Industries in Muscatine, Iowa. Boelens has an MBA from the University of Iowa and an undergraduate accounting degree from Illinois State University in Normal, Ill.
